Which of the ape groups evolved into primitive forms of humans?

Technically, humans evolved into the primitive forms of humans. We split off from the rest of the great apes about 15 million years ago I think give or take a few million years. There were species of humans that died out or evolved into something else, and eventually it led to us being the only left species of human left. Dark skin color evolved after the loss of the majority of our body hair. Black skin evolved to block out all the ultra-violet radiation that penetrates central Africa. Lighter skin evolved the farther humans migrated north. The lighter your skin, the more sun you can soak up, which was much needed in the northern areas. Dark skin is millions of years old, white skin is barely 12,000 years old. Human DNA makeup is very very similar to each other even though there are different colors of skin in the world. I read somewhere once that human DNA is closer to each other than chimpanzee DNA.
