Can you produce a Hybrid between man and animal?

I heard today from my science teacher that 2 years ago in the UK they made extracted dna from human and injected it into a cows embryo, soon after the calf started becoming a hybrid (half man, half cow), they saw this and they had to quickly kill it since it is againest the law to make a hybrid and let it live for more than 8 days, hope this answers you.
