My sharp projector lamp is 2 months old. i forgot to reset lamp timer. do i change a new lamp again? help?

i changed a lamp on a sharp projector xv-z2000 2 months ago but i forgot to reset the lamp timer. now it ddoesnt work anymore. do i have to change it again? i need help. the lamp is so expensive. thank you..
