How do you start a non for profit charity?

My daughter is interested in helping Orangutans. She is wondering if she could start her own organization to help them. Is there any information on how she can do this.Keep in mind that she is 11 years old. Someone please help me help her, so she can follow her dream and save these beautiful animals.
